Timber Line Electric & Control Corp. is a full service instrumentation and controls company serving water and wastewater districts, oil and gas industries, and manufacturers in the Rocky Mountain region. We are based in Morrison, Colorado.

Here are the three fields we’re looking to hire for

Controls Technician:

  • Ability to read, interpret and implement electrical controls schematics.
  • Ability to perform hands-on service work, including but not limited to: 4-20 mA loop implementation and troubleshooting, calibration and testing of control panels.
  • Start-up of primary sensing devices and related radio telemetry equipment.
  • Experience with data-over-radio, including but not limited to tuning radios to factory specification, reading service manuals in order to troubleshoot radios, using and understanding Communications Service Monitor (IFR-1200SS preferred) and RF watt meters, and understanding radio propagation and its relation to signal strength
  • Component level troubleshooting and repair is a plus.
  • Candidate must be willing to travel frequently in the beautiful high country of Colorado and be able to work independently.

Special consideration will be given to technicians with water/wastewater experience. Timber Line offers competitive compensation and provides a small company family atmosphere.

Project manager/Coordinator:

  • Ability to read, interpret and implement electrical controls schematics.
  • Manage projects from start to start up.
  • Direct all support functions of the project; engineering, field service and support.
  • Ensure project deliverables, on time and within budget.
  • May be asked to quote original job.
  • Handle all change orders and assume responsibility for assuring the prompt completion of all associated work.
  • Continuously improve quality and productivity through identifying training and tool needs.
  • Work with all staff to insure compliance with safety and environmental policies.
  • Candidate must be able to work independently AND possess one or more of the following skill sets:
    • PLC programming and HMI software development.
    • Design and draft electrical control systems documentation using AutoCAD.
  • Schedule department and individual labor loads and material procurement.
  • Candidate will occasionally travel in the beautiful high country of Colorado and for project start-ups and troubleshooting.

Timber Line will consider both experienced and entry level candidates. Experienced candidates should have proof of relevant Project Management experience in instrumentation and controls environments. Entry level candidates must be college graduates and may provide copy of senior project, transcripts and educational references in lieu of relevant experience. Special consideration will be given to technicians with water/wastewater experience. SCADA Engineer:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related area.  In lieu of degree, TLECC will consider equivalent combination of work experience, training and related education.
  • Two plus years of relevant controls engineering experience.
  • Familiarity with specialty instrumentation associated with water plants.
  • Ability to perform detailed calculations and understand ladder logic programming.
  • Ability to write Visual Basic or Visual Basic for Applications code.
  • Ability to calibrate and troubleshoot electronic instruments.
  • Customer focus.
  • Proficiency with Windows based operating systems, TCP/IP networks, PLC and HMI programming.

Candidates must have the ability to travel in the Rocky Mountain Region. Water/Wastewater experience is a plus. Allen Bradley PLC experience is a significant plus.
